Dot, better known as Aditi Saigal, is basking in the wave of love and appreciation for her debut performance in the recently released musical film “The Archies” by Zoya Akhtar.

Dot has captivated audiences not only with her acting prowess but also with her significant musical contributions. She has penned and sung all four “Dear Diary” themes featured on Khushi Kapoor, lending her voice to the character of Betty (played by Khushi) through the song “Asymmetrical.” Her talent extends beyond the film’s soundtrack, as she has also sung the chartbusters “Dhishoom Dhishoom” and “Sunoh.”
Overwhelmed by the positive response, Dot expresses, “It feels wonderful to receive all this love and appreciation for my role in ‘The Archies.’ Zoya has ignited a spark in me, a curiosity about the film world that I can’t wait to explore further and see how my career unfolds through both acting and music.”
Coming from a strong musical background, “The Archies” provided the perfect platform for Dot to showcase her diverse talents. “I got to contribute musically/lyrically through ‘Dear Diary,’ ‘Asymmetrical,’ and ‘Sunoh,’ as well as play the headstrong Ethel on screen,” she adds.
Dot continues, “I could not have asked for a better debut. My aspiration is to express myself through both these creative fields. After two incredible years on set, rehearsing tirelessly, and learning the ropes, all I have left is gratitude. Gratitude for the opportunity to work with a visionary like Zoya, gratitude for the incredible cast, crew, and music team, and gratitude for the lovely audience connecting with the work.”
